History of Goud Sarasvata Brahmanas

Originally Gaud Saraswaths resided at the bank of the sacred Saraswati River, migrated to Gaud Desh (Present day Bihar and Bengal) and later to South-Konkan coast to Kerala - Hence the community derived the name Gaud Saraswat-spoken language being Konkani - the language of the inhabitants of Konkan coast.
